About The Gemini GO:
The Gemini Go is the perfect product for starting out in the world of electronic die cutting, or for those whose crafting space may be limited. Perfect for taking along to craft classes or weekends, this compact and portable machine does not compromise on power and performance, giving you perfect results even with the most intricate dies!
This space-saving machine is faster, lighter and quieter than other die-cutting machines and has a sleek, low-profile design. It has been designed for intricate dies as well as for cutting heavyweight cardstock, vinyl, foil and so much more (depending on the dies used). Gemini Junior also enables edge-to-edge cutting and also has the facility to pause, resume and reverse the plates within the machine. It’s platform size is 3″ x 6″ and is compatible with most thin metal dies and embossing folders.
So, I’m totally not a plan ahead card maker…I know what stamp I want to use and it just goes from there. So I knew I wanted to use the Bunny Friends Stamp by Penny Black, but that is all I knew, but, I love how this one turned out!
First I Stamped the Image using Catherine Pooler Midnight Black Ink, and then coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers.
I trimmed the card down to make even edge widths on the side and a decent amount left blank at the top.
Who has the We R Memory Keepers Laser Square?! It is totally one of my favorite tools as my eyes never seem to see a straight line! So, I took the My Favorite Things Die-Namics Big Birthday die, lined it up, stuck it down with a little washi tape and ran it through my Gemini Junior.
Once this is done, I cut a piece of acetate to size and adhered to the back of the cut out letters using my Nuvo Medium Glue Pen (let it sit for a few seconds to become nice and tacky before you stick down the acetate.
Make a border around the back side of the letters with foam tape, and fill the enclosed are with sequins, cover over with a second piece of acetate (or white card).
Using tape runner at the top and a few pieces of foam tape at the bottom stick the card front down onto a slightly larger piece of white cardstock, voila…Happy Birthday Bunnies!!
Today I will be showing you how to add some dimension to your cards. There are many ways that you can add dimension to your cards, so I have chosen a few techniques that I use often to highlight as I walk you through the steps of this card.
Stamp your image and colour using your preferred medium, for this card I have chosen to use Craftin’ Desert Diva’s Sparkle Stamp Set, stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers with the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay Pen. 2. Cut out a cloud template along the edge of a scrap piece of card. Using your mini blending tool and Distress Ink in Broken China Blend over the template edge onto the card, continue this process as you move the template all the way down the card. This adds a background layer of dimension to your card by adding depth. Stamp your sentiment in the bottom left of the card (leave enough room around the edge for a border).
3. Use a glue Pen and trace along the edges of the clouds, sprinkle on some Frosting Powder and heat set. When heat set the frosting powder raises up and becomes white and frosting looking adding texture and sparkle to the card.
4. Use the Inside Scalloped Square die to cut out a frame, add foam squares onto the back of the frame and adhere to the cloud base of the card.
5) Cut out the Unicorn and add a mini wobble Spring to the back. Both step 4 and 5 are quick and easy ways to add simple dimension to your card, and who doesn’t like the added fun of a wobble spring to a card?!
6. For the Final step of Dimension I have added some Nuvo Drops in “Morning Dew” dotted around the card. I hope you have enjoyed and look forward to seeing what you make!
I have been waiting for this gorgeous Stamping Bella “Lyla Loves Leaves” Stamp Set to arrive, knowing it would be super fun to make lots of cards with.
For this card I die cut a circle, stamped Lyla in Memneto Black Tuxedo Ink, stamped the image again on to masking paper, cut it out and then stuck it over the original image so that it was protected while I applied the background.

There is an amazing Signature Collection by Sara Davies called “Glamour”….the line is fantastic and I have been sent some to create with. I’ve made tw cards so far using the following dies from the collection:
Dressed to Impress
Fabulous sentiment die
I have also used the Hot Pink Organza Ribbon and Adhesive Pearls that all belong to this range.
The quality of these products is top-notch! The dies cut and embossed beautifully and even thought they are very intricate they are easy to remove from the die once cut.
I am 100% in love with this range and will be creating lots more projects between now and July 11 so make sure to check back. For now I leave you with a couple of cards!
