Party Border Dies by Craftin’ Desert Divas

I just wanted to show you a quick card that I have made using the NEW Party Border Dies by Craftin’ Desert Divas.

  1. I cut the fringe out using mauve paper and adjusted the colour tones using carious shades of Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.
  2. Using the MFT Cloud Stencil and Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac blend the ink to make a cloud backdrop using your Mini Blending tool.
  3. Colour your chosen stamp using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Markers and Clear Overlay Pens (HB3, HB2, and HB1) to match the fringe and cloud background.

Stormy Skies

For this card I used the new Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, which is very easy to work with.

I stamped the Pick Up Truck  (dies also available) stamp by Honeybee Stamps onto both a piece of Spectrum Noir card and masking paper and the cut the truck from the masking paper and applied overtop of the truck stamped on the card. Repeat these steps for the pumpkins.

For the sky I used a sponge applicator and applied Distress Oxide ink – Broken china, and layered Nuvo Embellishment Mousse – Mother of Pearl with the sponge and dried with my heat gun. To make the sky look even a little more “stormy” I sponged Distress Ink – Stormy Sky in spots on the sky and again, dried with the heat gun. (You can do the stormy bit now or at the end)

For the grass I used Distress Ink – Bundled Sage and then Vintage Photo for the dirt, and stamped the fence using Hickory Smoke.

Once this is done you peel off the masking paper and can then colour the truck and pumpkins using Spectrum Noir Markers, and then the Spectrum Noir ColourBlend pencils to add even more shading and highlight depth.

The card is then mounted onto black card stock and then on top of silver mirror card that has been embossed (Embossing folder coming soon!), all these have then been mounted onto a card blank made from a sturdy white cardstock.

The Vellum sentiment is a new product to be released by Crafter’s Companion and the Dew Drops are by The Ton.

Hope you enjoy this card and feel free to message me with any questions!
