I really love the Pattern Play Circles by Altenew. I’ve used it in different cards as the main stamp but I also think it makes a brilliant background like in this card.
For the background I used Catherine Pooler Midnight Ink to stamp the circles, then Wow! Embossing Ink pad to stamp in some of the circles and sprinkled with Wow! City of Angels Embossing Powder and heat set.
I have used one of the Large Santoro Gorjuss Girls (we have three different ones in stock) and coloured her using Spectrum Noir Markers.
I found the perfect sentiment for this card in the Honey Bunn Stamp Set by Mama Elephant.
These are the cards I made for my son’s teachers for end of year, these Teacher Grumplings from Taylored Expressions are hilarious!! For the Bottom of the cards I taped off a section and took Catherine Pooler Ink Pads in Lime Rickey and Grape Crush direct to the card and inked to to match!
Another card that is good for a laugh is this one featuring the Mini Crazy Dogs and Carts by Tim Holtz. I masked off some off these dogs so that I could layering more cats and dogs and then masked them all and distressed the background.
Just wanting to send out a quick post letting you all know that the Santoro Gorjuss Girl Stamps are on SALE! These little girls are so fun to colour, and depending on how you colour them changes the whole mood of your card! The samples below have all been coloured by me with the exception of the first one which I recently saw by Crystal Schneider, at www.crystaljustus.blogspot.com and it is stunning!
2) I stamped the image again on Stamping Mask Paper, Cut it out and stick it over the coloured image.
3) Using Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke with my mini blending tool I inked up the background. I also used Distress Oxide Ink in Worn lipstick to add a hint of pink on the background.
4) Once the Background was finished I peeled off the masking paper and cut out the stitched rectangle using the Wonky Die Set by Avery Elle, add adhesive to the background by running it through your Xyron sticker maker.
6) Stick the border to a piece of silver glitter card using foam squares, and then remove the Xyron backing paper and stick the card front to the silver cardstock, then using your Crafter’s Companion Tape Runner to stick the whole thing to a card blank.
